For the launch of Deadpool on Meta Quest, we needed to make sure fans knew that the game would be just as crass, sarcastic, and unhinged as the beloved film franchise. So we let Deadpool do the talking, resulting in some really fun headlines and some really nervous folks on the legal team. These are the ones that weren’t rejected at the last minute by the MTA review board.
In addition to two gameplay trailers, we worked with ESPN to create a first-of-its-kind media placement that let us break the fourth wall during Sportscenter, as Deadpool ambushed the announcers with his antics.
